Thai
visitors who travel to the US for short business visits
require US business visas. There are a variety of different
US visas for business purposes, including E1 visa, E2 visa,
H1-B visa, and B1 visa. The E1 visa and E2 visa is for specialists
or essentially skilled workers who wish to work in the United
States.
In
order to qualify for an E1 visa or E2 visa certain qualifications
of the Immigration and Nationality Act must be met. Because
the US assumes that each applicant is a potential immigrant
a Thai applicant must prove they are intending only to work
for a short period. Normally, in order to get an E visa
a worker must establish that a US worker could not fill
the position, that his/her employment is necessary for the
business to function, and that the a US worker will be trained
to replace the temporary foreign worker.
Thai
citizens who legitimately wish to travel to the USA on a
business visa such as an E1 visa, E2 visa, H1-B visa, or
B1 visa should have little difficulty as long as their applications
are well documented with these materials.
