Thai
visitors who travel to the US for tourist visits require
tourist visas. There are a variety of different US visas
for tourist purposes. The most common of these is the B2
visa for temporary work in the United States.
In
order to qualify for a B2 visa certain qualifications of
the Immigration and Nationality Act must be met. Because
the US assumes that each applicant for a B2 visa is a potential
immigrant a Thai applicant must prove they are intending
only to visit for a short period. In order to do this they
must prove that the purpose of their trip to the US is business,
that it will be for a specific, limited period of time,
and that the applicant maintains a residence and other binding
obligations outside the United States that they intend to
return to.
Thai
citizens who legitimately wish to travel to the USA on a
tourist visa such as a B2 visa should have little difficulty
as long as their applications are well documented with these
materials.
